The Red Bull team has confirmed a new line-up for the 2026 Formula 1 season, promoting French driver Isack Hadjar to its A-team and awarding British teenager Arvid Lindblad his maiden F1 drive. Lindblad, who comes from a mixed Swedish-Indian background, is set to become the partner of Kiwi driver Liam Lawson at the second team VCARB. This reshuffling results in Japan's Yuki Tsunoda being without a drive following a five-year stint. The New British Hope Arvid Lindblad drove FP1 for the British and Mexico City Grands Prix this year. Lindblad has been marked out as a rising talent by Red Bull from the age of 12 years old. Regarding the team's junior academy, a senior Red Bull figure noted last year that Lindblad "seems extremely gifted", highlighting his "raw pace". Red Bull has had a plan since last year to ready Lindblad for his likely F1 debut in 2026, including runs in F1 practice sessions at the British and Mexican races. The rookie said it was a "dream come true", commenting: "Next season represents a big challenge, and I know there's a lot to learn, but I'm ready to work closely with the team and rise to it. I can't wait to get started." Lindblad has taken a couple of victories in F2 so far this season and is sixth in the standings heading into the final round in Abu Dhabi. The Frenchman's Chance Isack Hadjar enjoys his first podium in F1, secured at the Zandvoort race this season. The Frenchman's debut season started on a low note when he spun out during the warm-up lap of the first Australian Grand Prix. However, since then, he has emerged as one of the stand-out rookies of the year. His performances included an outstanding top-three result at the Dutch Grand Prix, and he lies 10th in the drivers' standings. A senior team figure commented: "Isack has displayed great maturity and proved to be a quick learner. Crucially, he has the innate pace that is the number one requirement in this sport. We believe he can excel alongside Max." The promoted driver called it "an awesome move" and said he felt "ready". The Lawson Decision For the seat at Racing Bulls, Red Bull have opted for Lawson over Tsunoda. The New Zealander started 2025 with the senior squad but was moved back after just two races. He has settled back in at the junior outfit with some strong performances, convincing Red Bull he deserves more time. Tsunoda, meanwhile, loses his place after a difficult season. His best result is a sixth place, and he has scored a minor percentage of the team's constructors' championship. The driver market moves confirm that there remains no spot on the Red Bull programme for Ireland's Alex Dunne, who will remain in F2 for 2026.
